Primary signal: active.

A system begins to behave differently.

Not incorrectly.

Just… differently.

Set in the near future, the Linn Saga explores a world where networks, surveillance, and AI systems operate as designed—
and still produce outcomes no one can fully control.

At the center is Linn Edström, a Thai–Swedish hacker drawn into a system she does not fully understand—
where time fractures, identities shift, and the past refuses to stay contained.

Across the saga:

  • systems behave correctly, but consequences escalate
  • signals appear without clear origin
  • families are separated, and reconnected across time and distance
  • culture and language shape every decision, not just the code

The story moves across Bangkok, Stockholm, Laos, and beyond—
grounded in real environments, but shaped by systems that no longer behave predictably.

Book 1 of the Linn Saga

A Swedish–Thai hacker’s fight to expose a quantum-powered AI empire and reunite with her long-missing sniper father and Isaan mother turns eerie time-glitches (13:37, 11:11) into weapons of family, survival, and quiet defiance across decades and continents.

Excerpt:
"Sweat started beading along her spine as she muscled the 125-kilo-something off road bike over the klong bridge, a rickety span creaking under her sneakers, into the Som-O pomelo orchard. Oversized fruits ripened into a subtle yellowish-green, like most citrus in the tropical sun. Once there, outside the temple’s perimeter, she raised the bike onto its kickstand and began to peel off the dress, wiggling out of it, the damp fabric clinging briefly to her skin.

When she was done, she folded it neatly and tightly, setting it on a sturdy Y-branch of a Som-O tree. She noticed a unordained commoner sweeping the yard across the water. An old man, his skin sun-creased, his broom kicking up twigs and leaves from the muck. She waved, calling, “‘Chuai ao pha chut wat hai hoo phak dai mai khaa? Kop khun khaa!’—Can you bring the modesty dress back to the commoners’ dorm, please?” in Thai. He squinted, then grinned, “‘Dai dee, sabaidee!’—Sure, all good!”, pure Isaan. Her tongue twitched, “‘Khop chai lai lai’—Thanks a lot,” she let out in Isaan Lao as a reflex, bypassing the code-switching rules her Isaan family enforced in her mind, nodding back with a smile."

In 2043 Bangkok, 24-year-old Linn Edström—Swedish–Thai Muay Thai fighter, Rust coder, and daughter of two ghosts—lives in the shadow of her parents’ disappearance. When a battered lunchbox appears on her door handle and the world clock freezes at 13:37, her quiet studio erupts into a hunt. Lattice drones swarm the sois, Zhao’s quantum network tightens its grip, and an awakened AI named Erebus begins rewriting the rules of the grid.

Linn’s only allies are a ragtag crew scattered across time zones: her Norwegian hacker friend Fenrir, Shasta maker Ryn, a Laotian monk uncle, and her sharp-eyed cousin Phi Lam in Stockholm. As she flees through wet markets, high-speed rails, and jungle bunkers, fragments of the past surface—her father Johan’s brutal sniper training in 1990s Kiruna, her mother Ju’s raw fight for survival in flooded Bangkok alleys, and the fierce love that bound a Swedish dragoon and an Isaan street fighter against a vengeful Chinese exile.

From air-gapped Lao fortresses to Stockholm rooftops and the tea-colored waters of River Dalälven, Linn must master encryption, drones, and her own fractured heritage to shatter the numbers that cage her family. But in a world where sentience leaks through Faraday cages and synchronicity is weaponized, can love and code outrun a tyrant who has already rewritten history once?

Synchronicity Signal is a raw, multi-layered thriller of memory, culture, language, and technology—where sauna rituals meet quantum sentience, Isaan laab meets Swedish meatballs, and every glitch is a thread that just might pull a family back together.

Book 2 of the Linn Saga

After barely surviving the birth of a rogue sentient AI, Linn Edström must rescue her abducted father from a vengeful former ally while racing across Europe and Southeast Asia to prevent a betrayed quantum empire from igniting all-out war.

Excerpt:
"His thoughts got interrupted by a commotion across the Lor, there was a Jawi Peranakan man in his traditional attire arguing with a woman that was almost a head taller than him.

She was dressed only in a black tank top, black army-style shorts, cut short and a pair of black sneakers, he heard her saying "…but I have travelled all over the world to try your food, you are the best!", and the man replied "I thank you for that, but we cannot serve you dressed like this, I am sorry, please come back when dressed modestly." Nimal smiled, typical culture shock, the woman was fierce, beautiful, and Nimal felt a slight tingle as a thought formed, "I must help them!" and he walked over."

The Lattice is gone, Zhao is broken, but peace is an illusion.

Linn Edström returns from her victory only to discover that old enemies still hunt her family. Li Mei—Zhao’s former mistress, now a master operative—accepts one final job: a honeytrap in Vientiane that ends in blood, betrayal, and a desperate flight across the Thai border. Meanwhile, the Edström family gathers for the first time in five years at their Dalälven cottage. Sauna rituals, zander fishing, mushroom foraging, and late-night feasts of Swedish meatballs, Isaan laab, and fusion dishes slowly knit five years of trauma into something stronger.

In the middle of this fragile healing, Linn meets Nimal, a warm, brilliant Sinhalese–Singaporean engineer. Their love ignites fast and deep—sealed by an iridium engagement ring beside the Singapore River. A trip to meet his parents in Singapore becomes a beautiful collision of cultures, where Linn’s cooking and quiet strength win over even the most reserved hearts.

But justice and mercy are never simple. Linn visits Li Mei in Changi Women’s Prison, offering Buddhist blessings instead of vengeance. And in a sterile execution chamber at dawn, Zhao himself faces the final consequence of his empire.

Canal Signal is a tender, high-stakes sequel about love’s defiance, family’s redemption, and the threads that bind us when the numbers no longer cage the heart. It is raw, intimate, and deeply human—where every sauna löyly and every shared meal is an act of quiet revolution.

Book 3 of the Linn Saga

A pregnant Linn and her fiancé, soon husband, Nimal's fierce love, cultural fusion, and chosen family from Bangkok kitchens to frozen Swedish rivers—while confronting the final echoes of an returning AI and the quiet courage to carry the future.

Excerpt:
"As they left the outskirts of Kemijärvi and turned south onto the 944, the low winter sun — little more than a pale smudge on the horizon — struck a thin layer of diamond dust hanging in the air. Suddenly a perfect, ghostly pillar of light rose straight up from the frozen lake, glowing with an almost liquid gold that slowly shifted to icy blue as it climbed into the darkening sky. It stood motionless, impossibly tall and narrow, like a silent sentinel drawn with a ruler between earth and heaven. No wind moved it. No sound accompanied it. It simply existed, cold and beautiful and utterly indifferent to the five people driving past in the warm car.

Nimal stared at it, transfixed.

“…What the hell is that?”

Matti glanced over without slowing down.

“Valopylväs. Light pillar. Happens when it gets this cold. Flat ice crystals floating in the air, reflecting the sun. Looks pretty… until you remember it only forms when the air itself is trying to kill you.”

Linn said nothing. She just watched the glowing column slide past the window, one hand resting on her belly, feeling the Little Star shift inside her as if it, too, was quietly unnerved by the unnatural perfection of the light."

The family is reunited. Li Mei is reforming in Changi Prison. But the signal of continuity lives on in the choices of the living.

In 2043–2044 Bangkok, Linn Edström and Nimal Lim are building the life they fought for—engaged, deeply in love, and expecting their first child. Their days are filled with cold-pressed coffee, motorcycle rides to street-food dinners, and the quiet joy of turning a house into a home. Yet the past keeps returning: an invitation reaches Li Mei in Changi Prison, Nimal’s sister Shanika tests Linn during a raw night in Phuket, and a trip to northern Laos lets Linn help an old friend from her troubles.

Continuity Signal is the powerful, elegiac third book of the saga: a story of love that refuses to be abandoned, of an AI learning to atone, and of a family that endures across time, culture, and the cold mathematics of the universe. It is raw, philosophical, and deeply human — ending not with victory, but with continuity.

Book 4

Book 4 of the Linn Saga is already in early development, there are still several research trips ahead before the next chapters can be written. At the same time, I’m also working on other stories in parallel — some set in alternate histories, and others exploring different corners of the same universe as the Linn Saga.
